I've had a little bit of creative block lately - don't you just hate that!  That's why finishing this layout feels so great.  I loved this photo on its own, but it's amazing how creating a beautiful and special layout can make me love the photo even more.

They say that a photo speaks a thousand words, but still, it just can't tell the whole story.  Yes, it shows what an amazing bond I had with my students while teaching English in Italy.  But looking at this finished layout helps to bring back all of the wonderful memories of the day it was taken.  The flower and bird embellishments remind me how the location of our summer camp looked - it was outdoors at a camp ground.  The music note paper reflects how we were always singing songs, encouraging the kids to learn through theatre, music, and play.  The notebook paper I wrote the journaling on is in keeping with the school theme.  And the pink reminds me of how many young ladies were in my class, and how sweet and girly they were.  I love how, through scrapbooking, we can so effectively enhance the way we record our stories and memories.
