I have been scrapbooking for the past two years, and I think that I am really starting to find my groove. I love watching process videos and checking out the work of other scrapbookers, because I find so much inspiration in it. I would love to share my work and I welcome you to view, comment, and take inspiration from my work as well. So, I formally invite you to take a look into the album of my trip to Italy in 2011.
I think that this is a perfect page to start off with. This is a single 4x6 photo of myself standing in front of an ancient Greco-Roman temple. Being one of my highlight photos of the trip, I wanted to make this a feature page. The title is "Dream Come True". The journaling is about how I had wanted to travel to Europe since I was a little girl, and how wonderful it was to finally do so.
I would like to start off by saying that I am hugely influenced by Shimelle Laine, and almost every one of my pages is in some way inspired by her tutorials. This one is no exception! It was made following Glitter Girl Adventure 099: Read Between the Twine. You can see all of the steps I followed to create this layout, and see her lovely version, in Shimelle's video here:

I love scrapbooking along with a sketch. I had a little bit of trouble when trying to add the embellishment, but it all came together when I saw the paper clips that Shimelle used. It reminded me that I had some metal butterfly paperclips in my stash. They were just enough to tie in with the butterflies on the title card without clashing. The cream coloured letter stickers that I used in the title and subtitle do not show up well in the photographs, but are more readable in person, and I like that they are soft and subtle looking.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the products I used, I would be happy to answer!
